Assistant Professor - Entrepreneurship
The Department of Entrepreneurship in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University invite applications for Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship (tenure track) to teach courses in entrepreneurship; maintain an active research program and publish in highly regarded management and entrepreneurship journals; advise students; and provide service to the institution. Appointment begins Fall 2026.
Job Description
The Department of Entrepreneurship combines strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students in startup and venture capital, social entrepreneurship and impact investing, corporate innovation and technology commercialization, and creativity and entrepreneurial thinking. Our faculty publish regularly in top management and entrepreneurship journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Organization Science, among many other high quality journals. Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as an Assistant Professor. ABDs may apply but all degree requirements must be completed by date of appointment. Doctorate must be awarded by December 31, 2026 for appointment to second year.
