Official Honor Society Forms and Materials

The following forms and materials should help to keep your chapter of Sigma Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Honor Society organized.

Application Process to Establish a New Sigma Nu Tau Chapter

  • Obtain a letter of endorsement from your Dean, Vice President, President, or Chancellor
  • Identify a minimum of 4 prospective student members, fill out the membership application cover spreadsheet and have it ready to attach to your application:
  • Identify a Faculty Advisor and Faculty Secretary and have their names and contact information ready to be included on your application.
  • Complete the Petition form below with all of the above information:
  • Have members complete their own membership application:
    • Student Membership Application
This is to be turned into directly to the faculty advisor. Faculty advisors are responsible for verifying that each student meets the eligibility criteria. If faculty advisors have pre-determined eligibility (such as receiving a list of students who meet the GPA and class standing requirements), then they may submit the cover sheet only.
    • Entrepreneur & Honorary Membership Applications
New Entrepreneur & Honorary members must complete the form above, and faculty advisors must include them on the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet
    • Faculty Membership Application
New faculty members must complete the form above, and faculty advisors must include them on the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet

Membership applications may be sent in after you submit the Petition to Establish a Collegiate Chapter or after your petition has been approved.

Continuing Operations

**Faculty advisors: Please review these instructions carefully as our process has changed

  • Prepare for your induction ceremony:
    • Five to six weeks before the ceremony, start gathering information for all new inductees
    • All forms should be submitted no later than four weeks before your induction ceremony to ensure supplies are delivered to your chapter in time
  • Download and fill out the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet
  • Have each new member complete their individual application OR verify their eligibility:
    • Student Members: Turn in the Student Membership Application to your faculty advisor
      • Faculty advisors review the applications to verify eligibility. They do not send the PDF to USASBE, instead they include the approved members names on the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet.
      • If advisors have alternative methods of verifying eligibility (such as receiving GPA/class standing records from the registrar), then students only need to be included on the cover sheet and do not need to submit an application form.
    • Entrepreneurs and Honorary Members: Use the Entrepreneur & Honorary Membership Application
      • Faculty advisors must also list the entrepreneur or honorary member’s name on the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet
    • Faculty Members: Use the Faculty Membership Application
      • Faculty advisors must also list the faculty member’s name on the Membership Application Cover Spreadsheet
  • Special note for faculty advisors:
    • If you're replacing a previous faculty advisor, make sure to: a) Reflect this change on your New Member Chapter Update Form and b) Complete a Faculty Membership Application for yourself
  • Submit all forms:
    • Ensure that you have verified the eligibility for all new student members, that all Honorary, Entrepreneur, and Faculty members have completed the online application, and that every name is listed correctly on the Membership Application Cover Sheet
    • Submit everything through the New Member Chapter Update Form
