Professional Bio
Dr. Zehr transitioned from business to education in 2009 and taught accounting, finance, and business management courses as an adjunct faculty member for Huntington University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech Community College, and the University of Phoenix. In January 2015, he became an assistant professor of business and economics at Huntington University and was named the MBA director in 2018. He was promoted to associate professor in 2020 and earned tenure in 2022. In 2025, Doc Z won the student body's HU Professor of the Year award.
Brock completed a Doctorate in Business Administration with an entrepreneurship specialization from Walden University in 2016 and an MBA with an accounting concentration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2009. He earned his undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from Anderson University in 1986 with majors in marketing and management.
Brock and his wife, Becky, enjoy living in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and are parents of two adult sons and grandparents to two granddaughters. When he is not working or spending time with family, he enjoys reading, listening to music, playing Indiana basketball, working out, and trading stocks. He is a member of Emmanuel Community Church in Fort Wayne. Additionally, Brock serves on the Fortitude Fund grant awards committee and is the past chair of the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. He is a contributing author for WalletHub and MoneyGeek and is an ad hoc peer reviewer for Entrepreneurship Education & Pedagogy.
