Sigma Nu Tau® Entrepreneurship Honor Society 11th Annual Reflections of Champions Pitch Competition

Entries Due May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

The Sigma Nu Tau® video pitch competition is a national program that aims to recognize and reward the value and impact of entrepreneurship education on student success in academic entrepreneurial competitions. This competition highlights the learning process that takes place when students participate in business competitions while recognizing students’ entrepreneurial talents they have demonstrated through success in business plans, pitch, and other entrepreneurial competitions. Participation in the competition also promotes the chapter’s supportive atmosphere for developing great entrepreneurs. The top 6 entries will be recognized with “Best Video Pitch Awards” that include cash prizes. These top entries will also be featured on the Sigma Nu Tau® website for one year.

1st Place: $1,000 and Plaque

2nd Place: $800 and Plaque

3rd Place: $600 and Plaque

4th Place: $400 and Certificate

5th Place: $250 and Certificate

6th Place: $125 and Certificate

Entry Process

  • Prepare and upload a 2-3 minute video to YouTube answering the following prompt: “How has participating in a business plan, pitch, or other entrepreneurial competition benefited your entrepreneurial learning process?”
  • Complete the Reflections of Champions Video Competition Entry Form with the following information:
    • Name of School
    • Name of Faculty Advisor
    • Names and email addresses of all team members appearing in the video pitch
    • Summarize the video pitch in 100 words or less
    • Provide a public access YouTube link for the video pitch.
  • Deadline for entries is May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time

Judging Criteria

Submissions to the Video Pitch Competition are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • The video highlighted the learning process that takes place when students participate in business plans, pitch, or other entrepreneurial competitions.
  • Explanation of how the participation in the entrepreneurial competition added to the student's entrepreneurial skills and knowledge.
  • The video featured the student's entrepreneurial talent and pursuits.
  • Overall Communication Presentation | fluency, organization, eye contact, body language, correct word usage
  • Professionalism
  • Length of video | points deducted if video is longer than 3 minutes or shorter than 2 minutes.

Eligibility

  • All Sigma Nu Tau chapters may submit up to four video entries.
  • Participants must have placed within the top 3 in a previous business plan, pitch, or other entrepreneurial competition.
  • Up to six students may participate as a team in a single video pitch entry.
  • Students may be current students or students who graduated within the previous 12 months from an institution with a Sigma Nu Tau® Chapter.
  • Entrants do not need to be a member of Sigma Nu Tau®
