Minority and women in entrepreneurship SIG Awards Information 2025
Application deadline is November 15, 2024.
The primary mission of the USASBE Minority and Women Entrepreneurship SIG is "to engage and assist entrepreneurship scholars, educators, and practitioners interested in advancing entrepreneurial opportunities and successful venture creation and growth for underrepresented groups".
The MWE SIG promotes the advancement of high-quality scholarship, practice, and teaching for this unique group of entrepreneurs and academics.
The MWE SIG organized an awards program to emphasize the significant accomplishments of members in their respective areas and inspire other members to achieve. The honors are bestowed each year during the USASBE annual conference.
Please upload a letter of nomination no longer than two pages long which describes how the nominee fits the following criteria:
- Nominees should be an individual who serves as a lecturer, professor, or educator of teaching entrepreneurship online currently or within the past 12 months.
- Nominees should be directly teaching a full course in entrepreneurship to be considered.
- Innovative practices, methods, courses, or noncredit courses/programs, or approaches to online teaching will be considered.
- Course evaluations cannot be submitted unless embedded within the two-page nomination.
- A demonstrated commitment to online entrepreneurship education at any level, and their impact on entrepreneurship education will be considered as well.
- Finalists may be contacted for further information, as needed.
- Self-nominations are welcomed.
- Finalists may be asked if they are willing to be nominated and to submit a CV for further consideration and review.
