Dr. Whitney Peake is the Vitale Professor of Entrepreneurship, Faculty Fellow for Accreditation & Societal Impact, Director of the Center for Strategic Management, and Professor of Management. Her research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship, small business management, and family business management, with nearly 30 peer-reviewed articles in outlets including the Journal of Business Research, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Small Business Management.
She serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Small Business Strategy, sits on the editorial review board of the Small Business Institute Journal, and reviews for several leading journals in the field. She was named a Top 100 Reviewer for the Journal of Small Business Management in both 2019 and 2020.
Since 2015, Dr. Peake has taught the Hilltopper Student Consulting Experience, a student-led capstone course that has delivered more than 18,000 pro bono consulting hours to nearly 50 businesses and nonprofits across South-Central Kentucky, work she continues to scale through the Center for Strategic Management.
