Professional Bio
Erik Monsen has crossed disciplinary (engineering, management, economics) and geographic (United States, Germany, United Kingdom) boundaries on his journey from designing aircraft to designing entrepreneurial organizations and regional ecosystems. As an entrepreneurship professor at the University of Vermont since 2014, his research and teaching aim to help students and organizations to create new value for society and the planet, most recently with a focus on the rural small towns of Vermont. In his spare time, he walks and hikes with his Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Willy Wonka.
