Professional Bio

Chris H. Willis is the co-Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Mary Washington College of Business. His expertise has been sought by major corporations such as Nestlé, BP Oil, Macy's, Time Warner Cable, Home Depot, Cisco, and Verizon, as well as government agencies like the Port Authority of NJ/NY and Social Security Administration. Academically, he holds a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, an MBA from Pamplin College at Virginia Tech, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BS from Appalachian State University. His research focuses on how individual factors influence entrepreneurial activities and firm governance, and how ventures contribute to societal improvement.
