2016 USASBE Doctoral Consortium

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2016 U.S. Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s (USASBE) Doctoral Consortium. The application deadline is October, 29th.

The Consortium will be held during USASBE’s 2016 annual meeting in San Diego (January 10-12), bringing together doctoral students and faculty to discuss opportunities and challenges as scholars in the field. This year’s program includes panels and discussions on research strategies, first job and career path considerations, and the publication process. It culminates with a "fire side” chat with a leading scholar from the field—Dr. Michael Morris. Students will also receive detailed and constructive feedback on their work from an accomplished researcher. The Consortium will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, January 9, continuing until approximately 7:30pm. The Consortium concludes with the USASBE reception that evening and admitted candidates are expected to attend the ENTIRE program.

If accepted to attend the consortium, the cost of three nights at the conference hotel and the cost of conference will be reimbursed. In addition, materials and meals for the consortium will be provided.

The Consortium is best suited for doctoral students who have completed approximately two to three years of their PhD program. The ideal candidate will have finished coursework and be preparing a dissertation proposal focused on some area of entrepreneurship.
