French Quarter Walking Tour
January 3 – 2:00 PM
Registration - $25

The French Quarter is New Orleans’ oldest and most famous neighborhood, the site of the original city established by the French in 1718. On this 2 hour tour, a local guide will lead you through the vibrant, colorful, and unique streets of this charming neighborhood and tell you the stories that really help you get a grasp on the culture that makes New Orleans such an unforgettable place. On this tour, your guide will give a little extra attention to the “nightlife” stories of New Orleans living, and give some great recommendations for cocktails and live music. Expect to see St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, the Mississippi River, Royal Street, and the French Market, among other sites.

Women’s History and Entrepreneurship in New Orleans Walking Tour
January 4 – 10:00 AM
Registration - $25

From the 18th Century missionary nuns who came to New Orleans to operate hospitals and educate girls, to our first female mayor inaugurated in 2018, this city has been built, enhanced, preserved, and spiced up by enterprising and energetic women. On this fun and informative French Quarter walking tour, we will tell the stories of suffragists, of a seven-fingered Baroness whose vision gave the historic neighborhood it’s distinctive look, a voodoo queen, the first woman in America to run a major newspaper, and the U.S. Congresswoman who re-wrote the Equal Credit Opportunity Act so that women could not be discriminated against when applying for credit. We will also share stories of the numerous female artists, chefs, writers, scientists, and politicians who have called New Orleans home. We will also make a few special visits to local businesses that were driven into existence by women entrepreneurs.

French Quarter Walking Tour
January 4 – 2:00 PM
Registration - $25

The Creole heart of New Orleans still beats in its oldest neighborhood, the French Quarter. On a 2 hour walking tour, expect to see the famous sites-Jackson Square, Royal Street, the French Market, the Mississippi River- but also the lesser-known locations where we reveal the stories that help our guests “get” this unique place. Because it is a midday tour, we will add a little focus on great shopping and dining stories and recommendations that you will want to refer to for the rest of your stay.
