USABSE LOCAL events are structured to be short and impactful, between 2-3 hours, with an expert in the field, innovator in the community, or educator on campus delivering a trending topic that you can take back for immediate impact in your classroom. USASBE LOCAL champions help refine the format, topic, speaker, and venue. Events are customized by the LOCAL site champions who have first-hand knowledge of the region and important issues relevant to your location/campus. USASBE helps provide connections and resources to aid the LOCAL site champion execute a massively successful event.

USASBE LOCAL aims to connect cross-disciplined, research-minded educators to USASBE through a convenient, low barrier, and focused event with an opportunity to connect with regional colleagues with similar interests in teaching, scholarship, and practice.  These regional events will provide a compelling opportunity to form an immediate, identifiable group of colleagues to build connections faster and on a local and colleague level.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette hosted a USASBE LOCAL event April 27, 2018. Members from five states and over ten organizations attended the event. Nine new members also joined USASBE as a result of this partnership. The morning sessions focused on various aspects of entrepreneurship education which was followed by a crawfish boil in the afternoon. The evening concluded with a tour of Festival International. Our LOCAL Champion, Josh Bendickson, did a superb job lining up a host of rock star educators, researchers and center directors. You can view the full schedule of speakers and topics here.
