USASBE TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The Technology and Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group is pleased to announce the launch of the Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate Program.
The USASBE Special Interest Certificate program began in 2012 with the introduction of the Social Entrepreneurship Certificate Program. That program, which has now graduated seven cohorts with a eigth expected to graduate in May, 2017, has proven to be extremely popular and very successful. Inspired by the success of that program, USASBE is expanding the certificate program to other special interest areas.
Technology has been the main driver of the US economy for decades and most would agree that creativity and innovation will lead us to higher levels of performance and prosperity. While technology has long been the realm of science and engineering colleges, the importance of technology and innovation is rapidly spreading across a wide range of departments and colleges in the US and abroad.
ALL MODULES WILL BE PRESENTED BY ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATORS WHO ARE HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED AND RESPECTED IN THIS FIELD
MODULE ONE: Introduction to Technology Entrepreneurship.
MODULE TWO: Opportunity Design.
MODULE THREE: Intellectual Property Strategies.
MODULE FOUR : Opportunity Development I.
MODULE FIVE: Opportunity Development II.
MODULE SIX: Financing the Technology Startup.
MODULE SEVEN : Managing the Venture.
MODULE EIGHT: Teaching Technology Entrepreneurship (Capstone).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate is ideally suited for faculty who are considering a new course or program in Technology Entrepreneurship, in their discipline or together with faculty in other disciplines, or others who wish to improve a current course or program with state-of-the- art curriculum enhancements. Participants may also include industry leaders, technology transfer professionals or entrepreneurs interested in the latest trends in all key phases of the Technology Commercialization process. The final deliverable of the program is a fully developed syllabus or a business plan for a technology venture.
