Interest Groups: Venture Financing
Group Pages

Venture Financing is a special interest group organized under the auspices of the Articles of Incorporation of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) to promote and encourage the development and advancement of programs and services in the specific entrepreneurship field and to provide a forum for information exchange

GROUP MISSION

Access to capital is recognized by small businesses and entrepreneurs alike as a key to their growth and success. The National Commission on Entrepreneurship has pointed out "Perhaps the most significant policy contribution over the last 30 years has been the creation of a vibrant capital market to finance entrepreneurial growth companies”. There are thousands of financial professionals that seek to be affiliated with a quality organization that speaks to this issue.

Purpose: To organize a group of like-minded individuals who recognize the value of sharing information, strategies, cases, lectures, project assignments, videos and innovations to learn how to educate students better in the field of venture financing. The name was selected deliberately to include all financing options not only venture capital. Entrepreneurs must become experts not only in their industry but also in finance. Successfully seeking funding and diligently administering the day-to-day finances are critical skills that must be mastered. USASBE shall be a place where mastering skills will be shared and disseminated.
