International is a special interest group organized under the auspices of the Articles of Incorporation of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) to promote and encourage the development and advancement of programs and services in the specific entrepreneurship field and to provide a forum for information exchange.
GROUP MISSION
The Mission of the USASBE International Entrepreneurship Interest Group is to provide a forum for the development of academic research, teaching and curricular advances, and best practices in outreach efforts related to International entrepreneurship. International entrepreneurship is defined as the entire process of global or cross-border-based enterprise creation from ideation and invention through technology transfer and full commercialization. International entrepreneurship will include all products and services that are sourced, produced, manufactured, marketed and sold in more than one country in any industry. Our members are experienced educators and researchers and through this interest group we will focus in possible areas of cooperation in research, teaching and outreach in International Entrepreneurship.

GROUP ANNUAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Annually, following the USASBE annual conference, IEIG develops a work plan that outlines goals and objectives for upcoming year. IEIG has identified the following goals:
- Share information about national and international events and conferences that are of common interest to the group to facilitate year round networking and opportunities for learning.
- Share best practices of successful educational models that enhance student academic and applied experience, attract interest in the field, highlight innovative courses, identify entrepreneurial management techniques and successful case studies in the area of global entrepreneurship.
- Identify common areas of research interest and pool educators as co-authors or contributors to upcoming publishing.
- Understand the causes of international entrepreneurial failures and identify and promote viable processes and techniques for global success.
- Understanding the factors of success that lead some universities, research labs, and private companies to be successful in technology creation and transfer.
