ICSB 2005 - Call for Papers
ICSB
and its 2005 Conference Host USASBE invites you to submit extended
abstracts for refereed papers, case studies, workshop proposals
that deal directly or indirectly with:
- Consulting
and advising SME's
- Public policy
issues related to entrepreneurship
- Ethics in
entrepreneurship
- Youth entrepreneurship
- Workshops
and paper sessions for educators and trainers in entrepreneurship
- Family business
- Technology,
venture capital, angel investments, and supporting high-growth
entrepreneurship
- Women in
entrepreneurship
- Franchising
- Entrepreneurship
as economic development (including micro credit, community and
social entrepreneurship)
or other topics
of interest and value to the membership of ICSB. We encourage electronic
submission.
Competitive
Papers
Submissions
should be in the form of a three page extended abstract of the paper
you intend to present at the conference if accepted through the
competitive review process.
Submissions
should address issues of significance to small business and entrepreneurship.
Competitive
papers must be original works, not previously published or presented.
Reviewers in
selecting papers for presentation from the extended abstracts will
use the following criteria:
- the originality
and significance of the issues/topics addressed in the submission;
- the overall
quality and rigorousness with which the issue/topic is addressed;
- the importance
of the findings and conclusions to the practice or teaching of
entrepreneurship;
- the interest
of the paper, symposia or workshop to ICSB members.

For those authors
notified of their acceptance to the conference, full papers will
be due March 15, 2005
Submission
Instructions
All submissions
must be double-spaced, single-column documents with 1" margins
using 12 point type in Times New Roman.
Each extended
abstract submission should include:
- Author(s)
or proposer(s)
- Organization
affiliate(s)
- Complete
address
- Telephone,
fax number(s) and email
- Title of
paper, symposia or workshop
- An extended
abstract summarizing their paper of no longer than three pages.
Workshop
Proposals
Proposals for
symposia and workshops should be a maximum of 4 pages long and should
include all activities to be carried out, and the names of all speakers
involved in the symposia or workshop. Only electronic submissions
will be accepted.

DEADLINE
for Workshop Submission: January 15, 2005
Attendance
Requirements
At least one
paper author and ALL workshop/symposium speakers must attend the
conference if the submission is approved. Conference registration
fee must accompany submission of the final paper, symposium or workshop
submission. If a competitive paper is accepted from the extended
abstract submitted, the completed paper must be submitted electronically
no later than March 15, 2005
or that paper will no longer be included on the conference program.
