Message from the President

Welcome to the leading organization dedicated to creating the next generation of entrepreneurs through teaching and research – the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE), the world’s largest affiliate of the International Council of Small Business!

USASBE’s focus is on entrepreneurship education and research. Entrepreneurship education includes best practices of pedagogy, courses, and programs. These are shared with members to improve the delivery of entrepreneurship education to a broad cross-section of education environments.

Entrepreneurship research is the second keystone for the organization and is the process of discovery in fields of entrepreneurship education, venture creation and small business, and the public policy impact of entrepreneurial activity in the US.

We have come to recognize the critical role that entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship plays in our economy, society, and culture. Appropriately, USASBE’s objectives include providing value through recognition and support for entrepreneurship’s role in business formation, public policy, social and economic impact, and institutional legitimacy.

USASBE plays a preeminent role in advancing the discipline and understanding of the entrepreneurship phenomena through the USASBE Annual Conference, developing and supporting other entrepreneurship focused entrepreneurship programs and events, and membership services that advance the field through research and best practices.
