Attention Future Leaders
and Scholars in Entrepreneurship
The 2013 USASBE Doctoral
Consortium will take place at the annual conference in San Francisco beginning
on January 10. A distinguished group of up to 17 Ph.D. students will be
selected for participation in the consortium. We are looking for emerging
entrepreneurship scholars and who will be pursuing academic careers in
entrepreneurship. Only one applicant per university will be accepted. The
consortium will feature leading faculty in the discipline, and will focus upon
both research and pedagogical issues as the student prepares for a career of
thought leadership, publication, teaching, curriculum development and
disciplinary advancement. Don’t miss this opportunity for career
enhancement and networking with senior scholars and leaders in the field.
Apply today and qualify for a
scholarship covering the cost of the Consortium, the full USASBE conference and
three nights of hotel costs. A limited number of slots are available, so
candidates are encouraged to apply early. The deadline is October 22,
2012. See selection criteria for what is needed to qualify for acceptance
to the consortium and eligibility for scholarships.
Background
The design of this Doctoral Consortium includes innovative
elements for both research and teaching entrepreneurship. The Consortium
focuses on the practical as well as conceptual content. The close interaction
with experienced professors is designed to create potential long-term
friendships and mentoring relationships. The USASBE doctoral consortium is unique from
other entrepreneurship consortia both in its range of content and the style in
which it is conducted, and provide distinct
value to Ph.D. students who are passionate about a scholarly career in
entrepreneurship.
